This cigar was produced for Habanos' own store network. I bought mine in The Hague in January 2015.
I remember that trip because when we exited the store Princess Beatrix, former Queen of the Netherlands, drove by in her limo.
That makes this Picadores three years old now, my personal minimum age for a Cuban.
The first flavors are wood, earth and some herbs. Rather nice, actually.
The construction of this cigar is OK, good draw, burn and ash but as far as flavors are concerned, it's a bit boring until now.
I read somewhere that Cubans only smoke the first third to determine whether a cigar is any good. If that were true, I have a hard time seeing how this one passed the muster.
About halfway through, some nice, nutty flavors kick in, along with a mild sweetness.
The second half of this cigar is actually pretty decent. A slight hint of pepper on the lips, nutty flavors, some herbs. Nice!
Draw: Very good
